OVERVIEW
Single conductor cable of copper, aluminum (AAC) or aluminum with steel core (ACSR), with extruded semiconductor shield over the conductor and black cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation-sheath.

MAIN APPLICATIONS
Semi-insulated cables are used in medium-voltage overhead power distribution systems through wooded areas.
FEATURES
- Maximum operating voltage: 15,000, 25,000, and 35,000 V. Maximum operating temperature: 90°C.
- Copper conductors are hard-tempered.
- Aluminum conductors are made of hard-tempered 1350 alloy (H19).
- ACSR conductors are made of hard-tempered 1350 aluminum alloy (H19) with a steel core.
- Black insulation-sheath makes them resistant to sunlight.
- Since these cables do not have an insulating shield, they are considered uninsulated and must be subject to the same care and precautions as uninsulated cables.
ADVANTAGES
Its cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation jacket helps it resist abrasion from tree branches. Resistant to sunlight.
