Description of CAAI-S and CAAI Cables
CAAI-S and CAAI cables consist of two or three phase conductors plus one or two lighting conductors wired around a support (support).
The phase and lighting conductors are made of hard-tempered aluminum. The support is a galvanized steel cable, class A, Extra High Strength (EHS) for CAAI-S cables and an aluminum alloy for CAAI cables. The conductors and support are insulated with cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE). The phase conductors are differentiated by longitudinally extruded ribs on the insulation.

Differences between CAAI and CAAI-S cables
CAAI: Aluminum conductor with aluminum alloy support cable (the support conductor can be bare (ND) or insulated (NA)).
CAAI-S: Aluminum conductor with galvanized steel support cable protected with XLPE.
