Description of PLTC Instrumentation Cable – Halogen Free
- Conductor: Annealed electrolytic copper in 7-wire formation, Class B.
- Insulation: LSZH-HFFR (Low Smoke Zero Halogen – Halogen Free Flame Retardant).
- Stranding pitch: 50 mm (20 twists per meter).
- Communication conductor: 22 AWG copper conductor insulated with LSZH (for more than three pairs or triple pairs).
- Shielding: Aluminum-polyester helical tape, or individual and overall, plus a tinned copper drain conductor in 7-wire formation, Class B.
- Sheath: LSZH-HFFR (Low Smoke Zero Halogen – Halogen Free Flame Retardant), black (blue for intrinsic safety), flame-retardant, resistant to sunlight and hydrocarbons.
- Tear: Polyamide thread under the sheath
