TTU Cables Aluminum Construction

TTU-type conductors (0.6, 2 kV) are stranded and constructed of AA-8000 aluminum alloy. They are also insulated with a uniform layer of moisture- and heat-resistant polyethylene (PE) thermoplastic material, over which a protective polyvinyl chloride (PVC) cover is applied. They are always supplied in black and in various packaging options.

• • ASTM B801: Stranded AA-8000 aluminum conductors in concentric layers for subsequent insulation.

They are always supplied in black and in various packaging options.

TTU Copper Cables Specifications

• TTU copper conductors (0.6 or 2 kV) manufactured by ELECTROCABLES C.A. comply with the following specifications and standards:
• ASTM B3: Annealed or soft copper wires.
• ASTM B8: Stranded copper conductors in concentric layers.
• ASTM B787: Stranded 19-strand copper conductors, unilay formation, for subsequent insulation.
• ANSI/NEMA WC 70 ICEA S-95-658: Power cables rated at 2 kV or less for electrical power distribution.

TTU Cables Aluminum/Copper Applications

TTU aluminum/copper conductors (0.6, 2 kV) are used for power and lighting circuits in industrial and commercial buildings. They are especially suitable for outdoor or direct-buried installations. This type of conductor can be used in dry and humid locations. Its maximum operating temperature is 75°C, and its operating voltage for all applications is 0.6 or 2 kV.
